The highlight of this week has been the induction of Star Bright . She comes with impressive
credentials and was a previous member of a Perth Rotary Club, please make her feel
welcome.

The situation in Nepal is still very concerning and Ratna is going to talk to the Club on
Monday night with his perspective. We also have Som-Ling with us on Monday night for the
first time in a long time and we'll get an update on the Solomon Smiles project. The Nurture
Festival had brilliant weather yesterday and I've been told there were plenty of people there
so I'm hoping it was a success but we might get a quick report from Syd on Monday night
also.

The week ahead holds a much loved (by me at least) lunch at the TAFE café in
Maroochydore State School. Contributing to the education of our up and coming chefs could
not be more pleasant and you get a wonderful meal to boot !!

Next Club Meeting

Our next club meeting will be held at the Mooloolaba Bowls Club. It will be a Club
Assembly.

A great opportunity for all members to come together, hear what's happening across the
Club, share ideas and help shape what comes next for Mooloolaba Rotary. We'll hear
updates from our committees, celebrate what's been achieved, look ahead to upcoming
projects and events, and make sure everyone has a chance to be part of the conversation.
Your Club, your ideas, your opportunity to get involved! New member Paul McSwiney, will
give us a 10 minute summary of his life and interests Also, by popular demand, we will give
us a short sergeant's session
