President Sandra Harrington
I was proud to represent Mooloolaba Rotary at the opening of the Maroochydore
Neighbourhood Centre (MNC) Outdoor Café and shelter. This project was led by Alexandra
Headland Rotary with support from Mooloolaba Rotary, Glasshouse Country Rotary,
Maroochydore RSL and Cr Joe Natoli from Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
CEO of the Centre, Mark Ellis thanked all for their support and talked about the efforts to
which MNC go to help the needy and homeless. The new outdoor café is a place where a
friendly chat over coffee can make a difference. In addition to the completion and opening of
the café, a presentation of an additional $8,000 will provide additional support.
On Thursday, George, Kevan and I collected uniforms from St Benedicts Catholic School to
send to New Guinea. Thank you also to people who volunteered on Saturday at the RARE
warehouse in Alexandra Hills
BlazeAid is looking for volunteers to help areas in Queensland that have been devasted by
floods and the impact it has had on farmers. Volunteers are welcome- experienced or willing
to learn. Farmers and small isolated towns need help. Volunteer Information
