President Sandra Harrington
Hope everyone has had a pleasant Easter and a chance to share time with family and friends.
th
I was pleased to share in the 40 Celebrations for Inner Wheel Club last Wednesday night.
The Rotary Leadership Institute is a leadership development program which provides
knowledge and leadership skills to Rotarians. On 13 and 14 June, a workshop will be held at
the Power House Boat Club, Golden Beach, Caloundra from 9 am - 3 pm and the cost is $50.
Contact Jitendra Prasad on 0402422777 if you would like to attend.
Eumundi Rotary Mumu event is to be held on 18 April at 12.30 in support of health care and
health education at Kemabolo Village in PNG. See the Flyer below for details.
On April 26, at 9 am our District is holding a tree planting day at Musgrove Avenue Park,
Bald Hills. The event is being hosted by Kenmore Rotary Club.
Kevan and our International Committee have been busy organising the collection and
delivery to RARE of 60 pallets of decoded reading books for early learners being donated by
FireFly Education at Kunda Park. Other Clubs in our Cluster have generously donated
towards the cost of transport and Nambour Rotarian Steve Morrison has offered the use of
his truck for the delivery at a reduced rate. In return for this generous offer, I would
encourage Mooloolaba Rotarians to volunteer to assist at the Nambour Show Stall during the
Sunshine Coast Show 12-14 June. I am sure we could cover a few rostered times between us.
I can arrange and register interested people or else you can individually contact
nambour.rotary@bigpond.com or Steve Morrison on 0417070011
Next week we will be joined by Caloundra Pacific Rotarians for fellowship and sharing
information regarding their projects
