President Sandra Harrington
Thank you to everyone who has been selling Raffle tickets at Kawana Waters shopping
centre. Sales have been good to date. Please check if you can fill any of the current
vacancies. The major beneficiary of the Raffle is Surf for Kids, helping children with a
disability.
At the AGM tonight we will elect a President for the Rotary year 2027-2028, office bearers
and Board of directors for Rotary year 2026-2027, receive the Association's Financial
Statement and Auditor report for the Rotary year 2024-2025 and will vote on changes that are
required to our original constitution and by-laws approved at the AGM last year. These
changes relate to two operational areas - membership and child protection. It is important to
read and understand the changes and the reason for the changes. Our Constitution requires at
least 15 members to vote on these changes.
Our Christmas break-up will be held at the Loose Goose, 3/175 Ocean Drive Twin Waters on
Saturday 13 December at 12.00 pm for a 12.30 pm start. The cost of the lunch is $65 which
will be taken from your Club account.
I appreciate the support I have been given this year and especially thank office bearers and
the Board of Directors and all committee members for their commitment, responsibility,
initiative, leadership and energy. I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a healthy 2026
as we "Unite for Good" for our Club and for our community. I look forward to catching up
with everyone at our first Club meeting for 2026 on 12 January.
