So this week we welcome our new arrival from Austria, Romy Berger who is staying
initially with David & Cathy Wright. We will all hear from Romy when she talks to the Club
at some stage in the future but in the meantime please make her feel welcome when she
attends Club meetings. Willkommen Romy !!!
I helped out at the Nambour Garden Show on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday was setup
day so there was lots of walking, lots of donging in star pickets, stringing tape and painting
lines on the ovals. Ian and Roger led the way and the rest us pretty much just did as we were
told. Saturday was standing around directing cars where to go and trying to prevent them
from running into each other. Some cool cars turned up while I was there including a
superbly presented Commodore Ute with an LS9 motor in it - it sounded awesome !!
The Garden Show parking is an important fundraiser for the Club and although I think we
had enough members attending, please consider doing it next year if you possibly can - many
hands make light work.

Our next club meeting will be held at the Mooloolaba Bowls Club. The guest speaker will be
Sarah Brough, Senior Constable Sunshine Coast District Crime Prevention Unit who will be
talking on Crime Awareness.
